Short Film about MataOmbres project developed in Anantapur (India) for Fundacion Vicente Ferrer.
In February 2018, I was lucky enough to travel to Anantapur (India) to work on the humanitarian project MataOmbras. The Anantapur Art Walk, as they called the project in India, was led by the Rural Development Trust (Vicente Ferrer Fundacion in India), a non-governamental organisation working for the betterment of vulnerable and disadvantaged rural communities in the state of Andhra Pradesh, in southern India. The project gathered 14 artists from Balearic Islands and aimed to contribute to the promotion of the work made by FVF to be a gateway to RDT’s development projects and a way to raise awareness on health, hygiene, education and rights of people with disabilities. Each of the artists was to create a site-specific art work at different locations in the visitors center to help promoting the VFF mission.
I was assigned Rafa Nadal Foundation Tenis Center to produce a site specific art work and illustrate the tennis practise wall at the center.
This short video by artist Adrián Cardona documents the experience of the artists and team working in Anantapur.
The project was funded by Illenc de Cultura, Participació i Esports and Balearic Islands Government.
